During the process of closing my massage therapy practice in Austin, TX and opening again in Fort Collins, CO I revamped my website. I am not a web designer by trade but enjoy the work, and especially enjoy the feeling of accomplishment when I figure out how to create something I never thought I would be creating. It may take me more time than a professional web designer; I may pull out my hair in frustration several times a day; and I just might think it’s a good idea, after hours of banging my head against the wall about a specific issue, to scrap it all and get a fresh start. One morning this past April, that’s exactly what I did. To be fair to myself, it was exactly the right decision for me to be able to move forward with my new design. Unfortunately, ameteur web designer that I am, I forgot to back up my past work – and in the click of a button there went almost all of my blog posts from years past.
Today we start fresh. This will be a place to read tales from a massage therapist’s life, my favorite stretches and exercises, self-massage tool reviews, and local Fort Collins adventures. Over time, you may also see the few posts I had saved elsewhere sprinkled throughout the more current articles. If there is something related to the body, to movement, or to massage therapy you would like to understand better, let me know and I’ll add it to my list of articles to write. To start, I thought it would be fun to take us back in time to when I created my first video, something else I never thought I would do (this is an edited clip to remove any old contact information). Here’s to pushing ourselves out of our comfort zones, to starting fresh, and to staying healthy through it all. I hope you enjoy what you read!
